Kid Mode
Set up Kid Mode for a child under 13: jars, goals, allowance, Family Bank, tablet pairing, unlock codes, and what we keep about your child.
Allowance, Ask me first and the money feed
Set a weekly or monthly allowance on your kid's Settings tab, and use Ask me first so money your kid adds waits for your OK. Undo any entry in the feed.
Change the picture choices your kids tap
Picture choices are the people, special days, ways to earn, things to buy and goal ideas kids tap. Add your own, hide built-in ones, and OK kid ideas.
Count my jar
Count my jar checks that the real money matches Kid Mode. A difference is never counted as spending: it waits for you to OK a fix, with a reason.
Family Bank, borrowing and paid jobs
In the Big kid view, Family Bank adds monthly interest and a Save bonus, borrowing lets your kid ask for money, and the job board pays for jobs you post.
Jars, goals and keep-safe money
Kid Mode tracks your kid's money in jars: Save, Spend and an optional Give jar. Goals fill from Save, and keep-safe money is saved for surprises.
Little view or Big kid view
The Little view (ages 5 to 7) uses big pictures and tapped coins. The Big kid view (8 to 12) adds typed amounts, a money rule, jobs and Family Bank.
Pair a kid's tablet or open Kid Mode on your device
Open beyondpayday.com/kid on the tablet, scan its code with your phone and lock it to your kids. Or open Kid Mode on your device, which signs you out.
Set up Kid Mode for a child under 13
In Settings, Family tab, choose Add a family member, then A kid (under 13). Give your OK, pick jars and money, and turn on Kid Mode. Free, tracking only.
Unlock codes, your grown-up PIN and leaving Kid Mode
Kids unlock with 3 pictures or a 4-digit PIN. Your 6-digit grown-up PIN leaves Kid Mode or unpairs a tablet, and you can reset either from your phone.
What Kid Mode keeps about your child, and deleting it
Kid Mode keeps a first name, birth month and year, jars, goals, lessons and paired devices. Download or delete it on your kid's Privacy & data tab.
When your kid turns 13
At 13, Kid Mode keeps working and your kid's row shows Ready for the Teen view. Upgrade when you're ready: jars become accounts, history is kept.
