Change the picture choices your kids tap

When your kid logs money, they tap pictures instead of typing: who gave it, what it was for, how they earned it, what they bought, or what to save for. You decide which pictures they see. The lists are shared by all your kids.

Steps

1. Open Settings (opens in a new tab), select the Family tab, open your kid's row menu and choose Open.
2. Select the Picture choices tab.
3. Pick a list: People, Special days, Ways to earn, Things to buy or Goal ideas.
4. To add your own, type a name under Add to the list, then pick a look for a person (Pick a look) or a picture for anything else (Pick a picture), and choose Add.
5. To hide a choice from every kid, turn off its Show switch. To hide it from just this kid, tick Hide for and their name.
6. To delete a choice your family added, choose Remove and confirm.

How it works

• Built-in choices can be hidden, not removed. Choices your family added can be hidden or removed. People starts with A grown-up at home and Grandparent; add Mom, Dad or Nana by name if you like.
• Kid ideas: in the Big kid view, your kid can suggest a new person, way to earn, thing to buy or goal idea. It shows as waiting on the Picture choices tab and in Waiting for you on the Money tab. Choose Approve to add it or Decline.
• Names you and your kids type are checked for blocked words, phone numbers, email addresses and links, and are limited to 40 letters.

Good to know

• Removing a choice doesn't change past entries; they keep their words.
• A person's look is built from the same quick-pick parts as kid avatars.

FAQ

Are picture choices shared by all my kids? Yes. The lists are shared by every kid in your family. You can hide a choice for one kid with Hide for and their name.

Can my kid add their own choices? Big kids can suggest one. It waits for your OK in Waiting for you and on the Picture choices tab before it shows up.

What happens to old entries if I remove a choice? They keep their words. Removing a choice only takes it off the lists.
