Teen view
The Teen view for family members 13 to 17: what teens and parents see, the Ready for 18 checklist, and moving up from Kid Mode.
The Teen view is built for family members aged 13 to 17, with more independence than Kid Mode. These guides explain how it works, what parents can see, and what happens to Kid Mode jars when a child moves up. You will also find the Ready for 18 checklist for the move to adulthood.
How the Teen view works
The Teen view is the real Beyond Payday app, made simpler, for family members 13 to 17 with their own login, with Ready for 18 and a grown-up switch.
The Ready for 18 checklist
Ready for 18 on The Big Picture lists nine steps that make turning 18 easier, like opening a bank account and reading a paystub. Go at your own pace.
Upgrade a kid from Kid Mode to the Teen view
Once your kid is 13, open Upgrade to the Teen view, check what carries over, and send a login invite to their email. Nothing changes until they accept it.
What parents can see in the Teen view
The owner, and their partner if there is one, can see every money record in the family, including a teen's. Lessons stay private unless shared.
Where your Kid Mode jars went
When you move up from Kid Mode, your jars become accounts on Assets, your top goals come too, and everything else is kept read-only in My kid years.
