Three Learning Center tracks are made for kids: Coin Crew (ages 5 to 7), Money Detectives (ages 8 to 10) and Level Up (ages 11 to 13). Kids play them with no account, nothing to type and no tracking. Progress lasts for the open browser tab. To keep a kid's stickers, a grown-up saves them with Kid Mode.
Steps
- Open a kids' track in the Learning Center (opens in a new tab), or choose Play together under Lessons for your kids in Learn (opens in a new tab).
- Choose Play with your kid, or open a lesson and choose Play this lesson. The lesson opens in the kids' player.
- At the end of the lesson, your kid chooses Show a grown-up.
- Scan the code with your phone's camera. Or choose Open on this device, then press and hold for 3 seconds (or answer the sum) to show you're a grown-up.
- On the award page, choose Set up Kid Mode to save the stickers to your kid.
- In Settings, Family tab, pick your kid under Save them to and choose Save lessons, or choose Add a kid to set up Kid Mode first.
How it works
- Grown-up pages: each kids' track and lesson has a page for grown-ups with the story, the game, new words, a question to talk about and a try-it-at-home activity. These pages load no analytics.
- Kids' player: big buttons and pictures, read-aloud on every screen, no timers, and no dragging. Kids never see sign-up, prices or email fields.
- The hand-off link holds which lessons were finished and the stars. It never holds a name. The award page lets you add a name, then save, print or share the lesson. The name stays on your device and is never sent to us.
- The grown-up check keeps kids from wandering into grown-up pages by accident: press and hold for 3 seconds (with a keyboard, hold Space), or answer a two-digit sum.
- In Kid Mode, lessons on the Learn tab save on their own, with a sticker book.
Good to know
- Kids' lessons load no analytics, no ad pixels and no tracking cookies. We only count how many lessons are started and finished each day.
- Kid Mode setup picks up the lessons in the same browser tab you opened it from.
- Level Up lessons play only in the kids' player. A teen's own account saves Real World Ready and the grown-up tracks, not Level Up.
- See the kids' privacy notice (opens in a new tab) for everything we keep, and don't keep, about kids.
FAQ
Does my kid need an account or email to play? No. Kids never sign up or give an email address. They just open a lesson and play.
What do kids' lessons collect? Nothing that identifies your kid. Kids' lessons load no analytics or ad tracking, and we only count how many lessons are started and finished each day.
Where does my kid's progress go when the tab closes? It's gone. Kids' progress lasts only for the open browser tab, unless a grown-up saves it with Kid Mode.
Is there a name in the hand-off link? No. The link holds which lessons were finished and the stars, never a name.
