Search finds your bills, accounts, debts, income, goals, businesses, What-if scenarios, retirement reports, and app pages from one box. Open it with Cmd+K on a Mac or Ctrl+K anywhere you're signed in.

Steps

  1. Open search in any of these ways:
    • Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K.
    • On a computer, select Search… at the top of the sidebar.
    • On a phone, tap the magnifier to the left of the bell in the top bar.
  2. Type a few letters. Results update as you type.
  3. Select a type chip, such as Bills or Assets, to narrow the results. Select All to see everything again.
  4. Choose a result to open it.

What opens when you choose a result

  • Bills, assets, debts, income, and goals open their edit window.
  • Business records open that business's page. So does income that comes from your share of a business.
  • What-ifs open in the planner.
  • Reports open the retirement report.
  • Pages open the page, including tabs in Settings.
  • Ask Beth opens Beth, your AI assistant. Type "beth" or "ask" to find it.

Good to know

  • Typos and synonyms work. Partial words match too, and common synonyms count: "car" finds auto loans.
  • Always up to date. Each time you open search, it picks up anything you just added or changed.
  • Recent items. With nothing typed, search lists what you opened recently, plus suggested pages.
  • You only see what you can already see. Results follow family permissions, your plan, your role, and family settings. Businesses and retirement results need a paid plan or trial. Children see only their own records. The What-if planner and the SHTF plan are for owners and spouses.
  • Search isn't available in the public demo.

FAQ

Why can't I find something I know exists? Search only shows what you can already see. Permissions, your plan, your role, and family settings decide what appears.

Does search work with typos? Yes. Typos, partial words, and common synonyms still match, so "car" finds your auto loan.
