A passkey lets you sign in with Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a security key instead of typing a password. Add one from the Passkeys card on the Security tab in Settings, then choose Sign in with a passkey on the login page.
Steps
- Go to Settings (opens in a new tab) and open the Security tab.
- On the Passkeys card, choose Add a passkey and follow your device's prompt. If two-factor authentication is on, you may first need to choose Verify to manage passkeys and enter your code.
- Name the new passkey (for example "MacBook" or "YubiKey"), or keep the suggested name.
- Next time you sign in, choose Sign in with a passkey below the password form and confirm on your device. You don't need to type your email.
How it works
- A passkey is tied to your device and to Beyond Payday. It can't be reused on another site.
- Your password still works. Adding a passkey doesn't remove it.
- A passkey sign-in skips the two-factor code prompt, even if two-factor authentication is on.
Good to know
- Rename or remove a passkey from the Passkeys card: the pencil icon renames it, Remove deletes it.
- Changing or resetting your password removes every passkey and signs out your other devices. Add your passkeys again afterward.
- Your browser or device must support passkeys. If it doesn't, the Passkeys card shows "Your browser doesn't support passkeys." instead of the add button.
