A connected assistant sees only what your own Beyond Payday account can see, and only after you approve it on a Beyond Payday screen in your browser. You choose whether it can change anything, and you can revoke it at any time. The one thing to know: data the assistant reads is sent to that AI company, so its privacy terms apply to it.
What protects you
- You approve every connection. Approval happens on a Beyond Payday screen, after you sign in. If you use two-factor authentication, you confirm a code first.
- You pick the access level. Read-only can't change anything. The
/api/mcp/readonlyaddress offers no write tools at all. - No wider access. Every call is checked against your account's permissions. A child account reaches only its own data.
- Sensitive actions stay in the app. Sign-in, password, billing, account deletion, imports, bulk changes, and support access grants are not reachable through a connector.
- Minimal logging. Beyond Payday records which tool ran, when, and whether it worked. It doesn't store the values read or written, or your conversation.
- Instant revoke. Revoke on the AI Connections tab in Settings (opens in a new tab) ends that connection's access.
What Beyond Payday can't control
Anything the assistant reads leaves Beyond Payday and goes to that AI provider. How they store or use it is governed by their terms, not ours. Some clients, like ChatGPT, note that custom connectors are not reviewed by them. If that worries you, use a Read-only connection, or don't connect one.
