Change your email on the Your Information card in Settings. You confirm it's you, then open the one link sent to the new address. Your old address gets an undo link, just in case the change wasn't you.
Steps
- Go to Settings (opens in a new tab) and find the Your Information card.
- Edit Email and choose Save Changes.
- If two-factor authentication is on, enter your code first.
- In the Confirm it's you dialog, enter your current password and choose Send confirmation. (If you sign in only with Google or Apple, just choose Send confirmation.)
- Open the confirmation link sent to the new address. That finishes the change.
How it works
- Your email doesn't change until you open the link at the new address.
- Your old address gets a heads-up email with a This wasn't me — undo this change button.
- That undo button restores your original address and signs every device out. It works for 7 days.
Good to know
- If you didn't make the change, use the undo button, then change your password on the Security tab.
- Only one confirmation is needed — you don't have to click anything in the old inbox.
