Open Money in and out (opens in a new tab) from the sidebar to see how money flows from income into your accounts and out to bills. The page starts with a 30-day estimate and lets you choose any date for up to 365 days, including today. The 7, 14, 30, 60, and 90 days shortcuts set common ranges. The styled calendar supports month navigation, a date grid, a Today button, and keyboard navigation; it shows the full weekday and date. Income appears on the left, accounts in the middle, and bills on the right on desktop. On a phone, the same flow stacks vertically. The details panel uses the available width: it sits beside the flow only when there is room, and otherwise opens full-width above it. On narrow windows and tablets it starts collapsed so the flow gets the available space; closing it reclaims that space. Choose Details above the flow to reopen the panel.

Use Show through to choose the end date. Dates are shown in order; undated bills follow dated payments and are sorted by amount. Same-day deposits are applied before payments, and today is treated as pending.

Click an income, account, or payment to isolate its connected items. With a focus selected, income totals use visible connected income, starting cash uses visible known cash accounts (not card debt), and payment totals include all focused dated payments, including payments beyond the visible list limit. Account card balances remain full-forecast balances. Click the same item again, or choose Show all, to restore the overall totals. Items with zero movement and undated bills are hidden by default; choose Show inactive items to reveal them. When no item is selected, this toggle leaves overall totals unchanged. Missing setup remains available in Missing details.

The Missing details and Funding gaps tabs explain what needs attention. Red warnings show a projected cash or credit-limit shortage; amber warnings show missing details. Users with update access can repair existing records in the anchored panel; read-only users can open the linked Income or Bills page.

The estimate uses current account snapshots and recurring schedules. Existing emergency-fund accounts are shown as reserves, but the page does not assign a reserve automatically. For a digital wallet, the forecast assumes payments use the recorded wallet balance; correct the bill's paying account or edit the wallet balance through the linked existing controls when that is wrong. What-if transfers are temporary planning entries and do not move money or change saved balances.

FAQ

How far ahead can I look?

Show through lets you choose an end date within the next 365 days, including today. The default is 30 days. Use the 7, 14, 30, 60, or 90 days shortcuts for common ranges.

What does the forecast include?

It starts with your current account snapshots and applies entered recurring income and bills. Checking, savings, money market, digital wallet, and credit-card accounts can appear in the flow. It does not include investment growth, unentered variable expenses, interest accrual, settlement delays, or unscheduled retirement withdrawals.

What happens when I select an item?

Selecting an income, account, or payment filters the lane totals to the connected items. Income totals use the visible connected income, starting cash uses visible known cash accounts, and payment totals use all focused dated payments. Account card balances remain full-forecast balances. Click the item again or choose Show all to restore the overall totals. Show inactive items alone does not change totals.

What do red and amber warnings mean?

Red marks a projected cash funding gap or credit-limit gap based on the balances and schedules you entered. Amber marks missing account links, dates, amounts, or credit-card repayment setup. The summary appears only when there is a risk or missing detail to review.

Can I fix missing details from this page?

Users with update access can repair existing income and bill links and recurring dates from the anchored panel. Read-only users can follow the links to Income or Bills. The public demo is read-only.

Do what-if transfers move money?

No. What-if transfers are temporary plans on this page. They are marked not saved, never execute transfers, and clear when you change household, navigate away, or reload.

How does the flow fit on smaller screens?

The layout responds to the available content width. Three columns appear only when there is room; otherwise income, accounts, and bills stack with routing labels. On narrow windows and tablets, the details panel starts closed and reclaims the full flow width. Open it from the Details control to see details above the flow; close it to reclaim that width again. Your open or closed choice stays while the window resizes.
